Seeing Spots!

Another fabulous Tuesday Trigger by Moxie Fab World.
Wow, those colors really pop against all the white in that room.

Here's my take!
Love the bright colors and the banner, but instead of making a horizontal banner, I decided to go vertical!  Of course I added glitter and bling.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Winter White

Another fabulous Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday challenge.  Who doesn't love winter white?  I have been searching for the perfect winter white wool coat this season but haven't found it yet.  I'll keep looking!
One word - fabulous!  The tone on tone, the intricacy of the flowers - it's just sheer perfection.  Here's my interpretation.
Inspired by the tone-on-tone and the flowers, I used off-white cardstock for my base.  I had a piece of taupe cardstock with a swirl pattern on it and I embossed that to use as a textural strip down the side.  I sprayed the embossed piece (heavily) with some Glitter Mist to add bling.
I've never tried the rolled up paper flowers technique so I chose some pretty purples and gave it a whirl (from memory).  Not perfect, but I think a good first try.  I distressed the edges of the flowers a bit, added a pearl for the centers, and used a branch Martha Stewart punch to add a little sprig of green on either side of the flower trio.
I'm pleased with how it turned out.  It's very soft and quiet, which I think captures the essence of winter white.

Awesome challenge!  Thanks for stopping by!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - A Sweet Christmas

Another Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger!  I'm also entering this one in the Moxie Fab World Challenge:  Glitter is Glam. This trigger reminded me of Victorian days, with all the soft, muted colors.
Don't you love the soft pinks, and blues?

It inspired me to make this.
It snowed here today so I am in a snowflake mood!

I used a bunch of new tools and a bunch of old ones too!
I used a new Sizzix texture background - one from Basic Grey - then dragged white craft ink across the top.  I also used white Smooch Spritz to add more frosting.

The ribbon I've had for ages and have never used, but this seemed like the perfect opportunity.  It says "Peace On Earth" - what could be more peaceful than snow falling?

I used my Cricut to cut various snowflake shapes from that fabulous glitter paper now at Michaels & AC Moore.
Put it all together and you've got a sweet (and glittery) Christmas!  Thanks for the inspiration!

Featured...

It's been a busy holiday season.  I've had a number of sales in my Etsy shop, Initialed, since Thanksgiving.  It's been keeping me busy.  I'm very grateful for all the people who have featured me in their Treasury selections.  It's been fun to see the collections they've composed.  Here's one that fits the way I feel right - frigid!  It's unseasonably cold here.  I'm already wishing for summer.

Tuesday Trigger - All That Glitters

I'm a little late for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Challenge, but I couldn't resist the chance to use these beautiful colors to create a card!

This week's inspiration:
Love the purple, love the silver, love the glitter, love the bling - really, what's not to love!
My ribbon isn't quite as grape-y as in the inspiration picture.  I loaded on the glitter and the bling!

I think I might send this to my cousin for her Christmas card.  Thanks for the great inspiration.

MIA for a While

I haven't posted for a few days now.  I've been busy filling orders from my Etsy shop, plus decorating for the holidays, sending out Christmas cards, working, taking care of the 3 year old, and getting ready for another craft show!

I'll be back on soon though, so watch out!

Embellish Magazine Holidays Color Challenge

I adore this color combination From Embellish Magazine!

This is my first time playing this challenge, and I was so inspired by the color choices!

I don't know this made me think of circles but it did!  I used SU's Early Expresso, Regal Rose, Cherry Cobbler, and Certainly Celery.  The rhinestone circles are from Michaels; the sentiment is K&Co.; and I used Spellbinders to cut the tag for the sentiment.

I love these glittery greetings!  What's great is you get several strips in the package so you can make many cards with just one package.
This is my new favorite way to make a bow.  Easy, quick, and very polished results!  My kinda technique!

I had a lot of fun with this challenge!  Thanks for looking - leave a comment!
